A solo exhibition will be presented at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art in Salem, Oregon in April 10 - May 16, 2010. The exhibition will feature  new drawn and sculptural porcelain works scaling the walls of the Atrium Gallery. This exhibition coincides with her eleventh year of teaching and creative activity in Oregon.  Opening reception Friday, April 9 from 5-8 p.m.

Preuss Grew will present a free public lecture at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art on Tuesday, April 13th at 12:30 p.m.

A second solo exhibition can be seen at the Töpfermuseum in Duingen in Niedersachsen, Germany through May 23, 2010.   Entitled “Then and Now,” the exhibition features work from 1998-2008, including many pieces from the International Academy of Ceramics archive in Ceský Krumlov, Czech Republic.

Heidi was awarded her second Oregon Arts Commission Individual Artist Fellowship on December 4th, 2009 in Portland.  Her first was awarded in 2002.

“The Oregon Arts Commission’s Individual Artist Fellowship Program honors Oregon’s professional artists and their artistic achievements” and selection was based on “outstanding talent, demonstrated ability and commitment to the creation of new work.”

This exhibition coincides with her eleventh year of teaching and working in Oregon.  The exhibition opening is Friday, April 9 from 5-8 p.m.

Heidi wrote an article about her experience participating in the 8th International Symposium in Römhild Germany.  The article is featured in the German magazine Neue Keramik.  It was published in their November/December 2008 issue.  She wrote the article in both English and German of which both were published.

Heidi will be speaking at Lewis and Clark College as a part of their Visiting Artist Series on Thursday, October 23. All lectures begin at 7pm in Room 102, Miller Center for the Humanities Building and are open to the college community and the public.

I will also have work featured in “Masters in Clay” curated by Jackson Li at the Great China Ceramic Museum in Jingdezhen, China the month of September.

Conference and exhibition

I will be attending the next International Academy of Ceramics general assembly held next September in Xian, China and will also have work featured in group exhibition at the Fule International Ceramic Art Museums in Fuping.

I am headed to Chicago and New York Memorial Day weekend– will be visiting family, museums, and the SOFA expo.
